right now I think I need a dremel.  my epoxy fillets are improving but
not "perfect".  word on the street is a dremel has many uses.

second thing would be a lathe, to make nose cones.

third would be an airbrush, and a paint booth to go with it!

I use the dremel mostly for making brackets n things.  Love those 1" cutoff
wheels.  I used a straight cutter to remove the root of the plastic AT fins
before gluing in the replacement.  Also the flex shaft is useful for tight
spaces.  Did that sound bad to anyone but me?

Big or little?  ShopNotes had an issue on making a tabletop sized lathe out
of shop birch plywood.  Wood be a nice unit for small to medium cones.

I've an airbrush, just need to play with it.  I also have a cheapy
compressor from HF, but just need some 'time'.  After the last windstorm
campout, I got to thinking the destroyed easy-up might make a nice
spraybooth.

:)   better than WOW brand induced "leakage" in the other thread)

I think I would go for a big one, because I've had good success using
the drill press as a "small" lathe.

I shed no tears when the wind destroyed my non-ez-up - all those goddamn
pipes and crummy tarp, gone gone gone - woo hoo!!  got me a real ez-up,
now I'm styling.

paint booth - if I could figure out a way to do forced air without
blowing dust around, I would just put some 4 mil plastic in the corner
of the garage.  but several boats and other hobbies are in the way.

might actually get somewhere with this though - wife is making noises
about wanting an airbrush....

Is there a connection here? A rotary tool is not what you need to improve
your epoxy fillets. Good epoxy is probably the best tool in making good
fillets. And bad epoxy really isn't that machinable with a rotary tool or
anything else.

Well, what I did ask for on my birthday was the same thing as all the years,
money.  But now that I have my 3rd anniversery coming up and I plan on
getting my wife a ring that she wants(only $400 even though I gave her a
$1500 spending limit), I asked her to get me a Pro38 set and some reloads
for it.

I think Judy and I came up with the ideal solution to anniversary gifts for
our first anniversary, and ever since. We are both VERY hard to buy gifts
for. The solution was to go out and buy US a gift for ourselves. No, not the
each buy your own thing, but buy one thing for US. In fact many folks still
remember what we bought for our second anniversary; Belker, the original
rocket dog. Other years it's been a piece of furniture, stereo stuff, etc.
The new house opened up lots of possibilities.

Well...

I'd ask for a Photo Album... filled with pictures of them when they were
young and having fun.

I'd also ask them to include any pictures of Grandpa and Grandma (both sides
of the family) showing the same.  (Old School pictures, graduation, wedding
pictures, first car... all of them can be a real hoot!)

You won't be sorry.
;)

Mark

Grandkids... they're always asking.

Bandsaw, to save me having to buy one. Had to replace my old Dremel recently or
I'd have the bandsaw by now.
