We were glassing the tomahawk when we found we could mix and pour 5 pumps of
West, but 6 pumps kicked in my hand while mixing and the smoke was like
nothing I'd seen before.
I usually use those small medicine cups when mixing for non-glassing
projects. Epsecially for the non-pump systems like the trial pack from Sys3
and cans from Aero. I never had a cup of Aero in my hand at the point I
couldn't hold it anymore or deform the cup. West or Sys3 was the first that
I found I couldn't hold the cup while still working with it. Aero does have
a longer set time, which might account for it. I have used plastic cups
from Party City for mixing, but they melt REAL good. Best thing is
Tupperware or Rubbermaid food storage tubs from the thrift stores. Leave
the stirrer in the epoxy and pop out the solid slug after it's set. Ready
for the next batch.

Wow! Maybe I'm lucky because 5 pumps is about what I typically use.
I use the slow hardener (206). Even in 90+ degree weather I can
mix and coat a batch with no trouble. I do pour it into a paint
tray as soon as I mix it which probably helps.

you must be using fairly deep mixing cups. use wider rather than taller
plastic containers. I've put 6 or 8 pumps - with 205 - in a standard
paint rolling tray and it didn't go off too soon, ambient temp around 75oF.
