Like the doctor said, if it hurts, don't do it.

LMAO. First part reminded me of a time I broke my glasses and superglued
them until I could get new glasses. Eyes burned for 15 minutes.

This technique works great but you should do it in a *very*
well ventilated area and wear gloves or stick your fingers in
a plastic sandwich bag. The plastic bag works well because
CA doesn't seem to stick to it much at all, but it DOES stick
to latex.
Shameless plug:
If you have access to an archive of old NAR magazines, check
out my article, "Super Body Tube Finishing with Super Glues"
in the July 1989 issue of American Spacemodeling.
Note that the technique is more difficult with glassine-finished
tubes. It worked *really* well with the long-gone Apogee Blackshaft
phenolic/paper tubing.

Crackshaft didn't need finishing. Just use wet-or-dyr to sand to to a glass
like finish in a couple minutes.

Blackshaft was my favorite piston tube. Just put a layer of glass on
the outside and sand the inside to a glass like finish.
