I am just glad we have sufficient trolls slinging sufficient mud to
protect the buying public from "making a mistake" by buying any product
at all, especially from U.S. Rockets ona "bill on delivery basis". In
other words pay after you receive and approve ONLY.

We need condoms over our condoms over our condoms.

Jerry what;s the big deal with bill on delivery?  You keep talking

Well, with all the noise that's been spread about how "Jerry's products
are all vaporware", perhaps he wants to provide a means of assurance that
orders can be placed without having to "front him the money" if the rumors
(whether true or false) have made potential customers nervous about doing
that... at least that's how I read it. YMMV.

I said the same thing on TRF, and Jerry called me a troll and said my comment
was "FUD". Let's see if he does the same to you.

Didn't you testify that there is no such company as U.S. Rockets?

Does it really matter if "US Rockets" is
a "company" rather than a "product line"?

Explain and defend your answer.

We've been through this before, Dave. If it's just a "product line", who owns
it?

And if it's just a product line, who do I ask to send me a few kits on a "pay after

Dave?

Yes. Non Hazmat products rule and protect against wild allegations even
--with-- in-hand paperwork and lab tests.

Jerry - I have to ask you this -

Why do you keep saying you have in hand paperwork and lab tests when
you were told by DOT that the ones you have are no longer valid?
Saying you have them after you were told they are invalid, makes you
look like a liar.

Can you cite the communication from DOT where he was "told" that the
existing classification was "no longer valid" - you keep alleging the
existence of such a communication, but have yet to show us a copy of it.

The only evidence I've seen of any such communication
is allegations made by Phil Stein (and previously by
"Dave Grayvis").

Is DOT supposed to have told you that the stuff that
"fell out the bottom" of class 1 testing (unless larger
than a stated minimum size) had suddenly turned back
into "New Explosives" all over again after all?

--- --- ---

One of the several things in the DOT "action" that seemed
just a little odd - how does someone have to "transfer
ownership interest" etc. etc. on something being "not
even explosive" (as distinct from a situation involving
something that _was_ an "officially classified explosive")?

I mean it's like you go down to the DMV and they tell you
"we don't sell license plates for bicycles, you don't need
one" - and then they turn around and bust you for "operating
an Unlicensed Vehicle" because you didn't file a change of
address, properly transfer the ownership, etc., etc., on
the act of "not-needing-a-license-plate"!

All I can say (expand the metaphor to all the hoops that DOT
claimed you didn't jump through but should have) is, if they're
gonna be that way about it, they damn well better sell me a
license plate for my bicycle or it could leave a big hole in
their ability to make the sh.t stick to you.

(Is that what you meant when you said that you were expendable
but this could be an opportunity for someone?)

Yep.

I was right. I proved to be expendable :)

Wow, you've really got a short memory, Dave. The link to the document was
posted here not very long ago. Do a google search, I'm sure you can find it

Just for the record, I don't have a problem with folks buying your kits,
especially on a C.O.D basis. (If it _wasn't_ C.O.D., then I yes I would warn
against it.)
When I used to buy motors from you, I always paid cash on delivery, and never
got ripped off.

I find it interesting, and instructive, that you include that quote in
this particular message.  It was originally meant to include YOU as much
as anyone else.

Ironic, eh? But at least you and I can have a real debate about it. I do
not feel compelled to attack you personally for being so bold as to
bring up the subject!

Word of Reason - 29 Sep 2004 20:34 GMT
Hello Richard,

See what I am talking about now?!  Until Irvine's heart stops beating
and his lungs no longer take in breath, this is the bullshit that this
newsgroup is founded upon.  Basically, rec.models.rockets has been for
the last 4-5 years:
wreck.us.rockets .

Most Born Again Rocketeers are "long in the tooth".  They are in their
50s and 60s.  They only have another 15 - 30 years left alive and a
good percentage of them will lose their ability to type due to
malfiesence, parkansins, alzhiemer, and other "old age"  afflictions.

So if you can wait another 2-3 decades, Irivine, Bundick, Kaplow ...
all of the people who make this newsgroup so useless, will be gone for
ever ... thank God!  So if you and I are still around, this will
hopefully be a much better place :)

Good luck to us both!

P.s. I wonded if Irvine has made a pack with Satan and plans to HAUNT
rec.models.rockets once his body starts to rot?  The Ghost in the
Machine ...

I don't know about that, but I'm fairly certain his brain has been
festering for many, many years.
