Hi,
I have brought fiberglass cloth from www.publicmissiles.com before for
a reasonable price. They sell 6oz to 10oz, along with pre glassed
airframes in both fiberglass and carbon. I have brougt carbon form
carb.com. They are located in Hawwii I believe, so it may take awhile
to get your order.
Hawk mountain sells pre made, all composite tubing. They are EXTREAMLY
strong, but somewhat pricy. If you want to make your own composite
tubes,you should check out http://www.shadowaero.com/. They sell a 3
tape video set to get you started in composites for $75. They are
located in California.
If you are on a tight budget, I would suggest making your own tubes,
because it is a lot cheaper. PML sell glassed tubes for about $100 for
a 4" tube. If you wrap it your self, you could make 3 or 4 tubes for
the same price.
Good luck with your project,

PML is located in Michigan. There are a lot better/cheaper places to get
fiberglass cloth than PML.
Try a sailboat store for fiberglass cloth. If they don't sell it, ask
where to buy it locally.
We have a store here in Minneapolis that does nothing but sell
fiberglass/kevlar/carbon fiber cloth, epoxy, and other composite supplies.

Express Composites in Northeast Minneapolis. Web site is
www.expresscomposites.com. The address on the website is old, so you have
to call them for the address.

Thank you all for your replys.
The motors i shall be using will be 5 estes D's and E's, also 1 D and E to 7
A's to C's, 3 Estes D's or E's and now possibley a 29M MMT.
I want to convert the kit to do dual but not sure how with 24'' long BT to play
with and im going to use my Gwiz LC delux.
I was wandering how heavy the the stuff is form Hawk...$11.80 per foot and i
only 2 feet and it's coming to the uk.
I do have a LOC BT ready to use currently and have thought about using aero
sleav on that. Peeling off as much of the tube as i can so it's still the
perfect dia (you know what i mean where you don't get a bigger dia where it
join at the nose cone due tothe laying up....ie so it would be glassed, carbon
or carbo kevilar but just same dia as std tube) but would i have to glass on
top of the carbo or carbon kevilar stuff??
I did work out what power i'd get from 5 E9's but have lost it...but for 5 D's
i'll ge t:-
Total Newtons
85Newtons-Seconds
Total Pounds of Thrust
19.101123595505616 LBS
Size of Combined Motors
53.125% of a G Motor
Oh by the way the rocket in question is a Phonex Rockety Might Kat. Yep i'm
modding her a lot. So i think for a small 2.56'' x 31'' oddd long rocket it
should go some on 5 D's let alon a 3 second bun on 5 E9's.
If i am to glass it will be my first time/ I'd rather have it done for me and
everything.
All ya help is vital here and any tips on fitting dual deployment will be
needed.

If you are only at 54% of a G you DO NOT need Carbon fiber or Fiberglass.
Plain old loc tubing is fine for mid power stuff.. You don' need to worry
about Carbon or Glass until you start using J sized motors and up. OK maybe
of you are considering Minimum diameter 38mm motor mount. But for Estes
engines use paper!

Most of Ady Waters' entries in the UKRA altitude table were set with
unglassed, lightly built rockets made from LOC tubing, flying on everything
up the 'old' Pro38 J360...
Perhaps if you're using Estes-type tubing a wrap of light glass would make
the rocket more resistant to landing and transportation damage.
