NYPOWER is just 5 days away in beautiful Geneseo, NY (site of last
years LDRS).

Its shaping up to be a great launch and the current weather models are
aligning perfectly!!!  Cold front to pass through Thursday and dry 70s
to low 80s for the four days.

information can be found at www.nypower.net

See you next weekend!!

Can't wait. Busting butt to get ready to fly a couple of the new
Contrail hybrids. Printing tons of handout literature for the hybrid
seminar Sunday...sure glad I just got a new laser printer. Kids are
cleaning the van, checking the tents, loading the chairs and tables.

This is Why We Do This Stuff.

It's a NAR launch, so no EX. but plenty of great commercial motors will be
flown.

I am spending my time building and racing cars with my son.  We've found a
better use for nitrous. It's one hell of a power adder for an internal
combustion engine. :-)
I do plan on attending some local launnches in the near future now that my
car's complete and running like a raped ape.  I think that I have a launch
window before we have to reassemble my son's twin turbo 1000HP beast and get
that to the track.

If you're into racing, you know how inexpensive a hobby rocketry really
is! Whatever you're doing, doing it with your son is a Good Thing.
Goodonya both.

I must take exception to your "better use for nitrous" comment, though.
I can attest that N2O that has been used in a hybrid rocket motor is
very happy nitrous! You can hear it whooping as it comes out the
nozzle, especially right at the end of the burn. Sheer chemical joy.
