I seem to remember that giant leap used to carry these but are now into 6"
ones.  Anyone have a supplier that carries 5 or 5.5" tubes?

I got a kit from Polecat Aerospace / Andy Woerner that contained a
5.5" airframe.  Check with him.

  They're listed as 5.38" tubes... not 5.5".  ;-)

Drop Pat Waite a line (his email address is available at
http://www.centeringrings.com).  I believe he might have airframe
tubing in that size.
