lunarlosREMOVE2EMAIL@juno.com - 26 Jan 2006 01:35 GMT Well well well ... Lucky Lindy ...
Well, I was first informed of his NAZI ties back inl the late 80s ... another hero ... well not any more I guess?
Ok, Thursday night, the History Channel will be doing a very indepth program about Lindy.
What I already know and expect to see based on the History Channel commercials is the following:
Lindbergh was a NAZI sympathizer, as was Henry Ford who received a special citizenship medal/award from Adolph Hitler.
Lindbergh spied on Robert H. Goddard and passed the information directly to NAZI and German scientists, most notably, Werner von Braun who himself was a member of the NAZI party, but because we needed von Braun's knowlege, operation "Paper Clip" shielded this information from the public ... someday, the TRUTH will be told ... could one of the most famous of NAZI weapons be the result of a Jewish man's research in the New Mexico desert ... hmmm, I guess there are those who wouldn't want that to get out either ...
The Lindbergh baby kidknapping wasn't just a plan to get money from Lindy, but a Jewish attempt at retribution for his helping of the NAZIs. Or could the killing have been a way for sinister NAZI powers to send a message to Lindy? I hope to learn more of this possibility when I watch the program.
And Lucky had a SECRET Aryan [sic] family that was meant to keep his blood pure and safe in the Third Reich [sic]. Aryan is bullshit, as there are only 3 homonid racial groups on planet Earth ... Mongoloid (Asians), Negroid (Africans), and Caucizoid (Europeans). From these 3, all the world's ethnic groups are derived ... but you all know this, so I am being loquacious.
Well if you want to learn more, tune into the History Channel 1/26/2006 (tomorrow Thursday night) and learn about ol' Lucky Lindy. I hope that someday, they do a piece about von Braun.
randyolb@charter.net - 26 Jan 2006 02:50 GMT Did they get the info from Mulder... or C.G.B. Spender?

lunarlosREMOVE2EMAIL@juno.com - 26 Jan 2006 02:50 GMT Don't know ... guess you will have to open your eyes and ears and watch the History Channel tomorrow night.
P.s. I am NOT affiliated with the History Channel or its sponsors :)
randyolb@charter.net - 26 Jan 2006 03:27 GMT > P.s. I am NOT affiliated with the History Channel or its sponsors :) I'll have to pass. There seems to be a movement lately to rewrite the history of just about everything, from the dawn of man, to the holocaust didn't happen, to we didn't go to the moon. Neil Armstrong and 6 million Jews would disagree with them. (I'm not affiliated with NASA or Israel.)
Besides, who has time to go back to school and relearn it all?

I don't care if Lindbergh had a furry tail and a third eye hidden under his cap, as it takes nothing from his accomplishments as an aviator.
Some people have some sort of "need" to run down anyone in the past who has accomplished something. Can't accomplish anything themselves so it's "hey, Louis Pasteur was a communist and a gay basher and an alcoholic...don't believe me? Then prove me wrong". Bunch of Geraldo worshipping, Hoffa's tomb lurking, 15 minute of fame grabbing wannabes.

Wonder if Geraldo has been to see Al Capone's vault lately.

P.s. Thousands of Jews canceled their Time magazine subscriptions a few years back when one of the articles wasn't very flattering to Robert Hutchings Goddard ... that will give you a hint ... and Oi Veah .. I am NOT Jewish :) But wouldn't mind if I was :)

Tom the Canuck - 28 Jan 2006 04:56 GMT Oh sh.t! Now I am scared. I come from Estonian ancestry. Do you now hate me too? We are all immigrants to this continent who came from Europe. Think about the bad things we did to the people who lived here first before we arrived. Does a gun make us superior to those with bows and arrows? Technology should not interfere with basic human interactions. Look, I don't care if you are white, black, purple or green. Does the colour of the skin prejudge you in the way you think of others? I hope not, because if you did I would simply say open your narrow minded tunnel vision and look at humanity as a whole. Why should I be 'like you'? I am who I am and do what I can for my fellow man. In my opinion, you sound like an outdated racist pig. Please open your mind to new things. By the way, I am an atheist. Do you hate me even more now? Christian teachings are good, just don't follow one of those organized religious cults (you know, Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, etc.) I think they say one thing and do another. From history, the first 'troops' that went on the Crusade slaughtered an entire village of Christians. I guess they looked Muslem to the attackers. Yup, killed everybody, looted all the good stuff. Should we be proud of our ancestors for their acts of barbarism in the name of God? Not me. Just open your eyes and see the truth around you. Remember Jim and Tammy Baker? Now that was a good scam to get money from the ignorant populace.
"Send me $1 and I will save your soul. I will do nothing except collect all the money I can and go to my favourite Steak House and have a fine meal on you" Are there more like you? Y'all kin send me $1 an ah is goin' ta be rich!

Well, I didn't really understand the reply, either, and I am not wasting the CPU time to decipher it.

The Rocket Scientist - 26 Jan 2006 17:44 GMT > Lindbergh spied on Robert H. Goddard and passed the information > directly to NAZI and German scientists, most notably, Werner von Braun > who himself was a member of the NAZI party, Nothing that Goddard was doing was considered to be classified. None of his research was government sponsored. In fact, the US Government considered Goddard to be a nut case and was happy that he was pretty much kept to himself in New Mexico.
Any scientist who wanted to could speak to Goddard at any time without having to get any sort of permission from the government. Goddard was quite secretive about his work (dare I say paranoid?) but he did share with a number of German scientists prior to the war, including von Braun and Willy Ley. They were the only people taking him seriously. America generally ridiculed Goddard.
As far as being a member of the Nazi party, a lot of good people found themselves in the Nazi party whether they wanted to or not. It was not exactly optional. Oscar Schindler was a member IIRC.
Now be a good fellow and take your meds.

In fact, the US Government [quoted text clipped - 7 lines] >Braun and Willy Ley. They were the only people taking him seriously. >America generally ridiculed Goddard. An interesting book that I've been reading lately is "Rocket Man: Robert H. Goddard and the Birth of the Space Age" by David A. Clary. Most of his early funding did come from the government, the military and the Smithsonian. I think it would be incorrect to say that the government considered him a nutcase. Those few people who understood what he was doing knew he was on the right track to some real advances. One of his problems was that he was a dreamer. His goal was interplanetary spaceflight, but he was working on the very first small steps towards this goal. Thus whenever he was interviewed, and he had a certain amount of fame in the 20's and was interviewed and quoted quite often, he spoke about flying to the moon and Mars, etc. This made his sponsors nervous since their goals were for him to get a working sounding rocket that they could use to put some instruments up into the upper atmosphere.
He was also a bit secretive about his work and was very concerned about other people stealing it. As a result he patented a very large number of ideas. So while he did publish much of his work I think he would have been a bit close-mouthed if someone had some asking a lot of questions about the details of his work.

Chuck Rudy - 28 Jan 2006 02:32 GMT > Well well well ... Lucky Lindy ... (snipped at the scrotum)
RMR was way more enjoyable before the luney bin lost all their lithium.
Lindberg was a white supremacist, it's been out for years in books. His Arian roots were there in black and white. Obviously only for those who could read. But now the literally challenged can hear it on TV and WHOA!! It's eye opening stuff.
How about something new, like, maybe something that hasn't hit TV yet and others may have missed in books?
Guess that won't happen.
Maybe the less read should just talk football.
Chuck
Doug Sams - 28 Jan 2006 03:28 GMT > Lindberg was a white supremacist, it's been out for years in books. His > Arian roots were there in black and white. Obviously only for those who > could read. But now the literally challenged can hear it on TV and > WHOA!! It's eye opening stuff. Exactly. And not only was Lindy, but the rest of white America, too. He was outspoken about it then, but that's not what got him in trouble. His adamant anti-war position was what put him in disfavor with the public and Roosevelt. But lots of folks held his racist beliefs back then.
It's nothing to be proud of. It was a commonly held position 60+ years ago, and nothing we do now can change it, so we shouldn't be ashamed either. We simply learn from it and make tomorrow better.
On the plus side, he eventually got out of the doghouse a bit. He never regained his colonel rank in the military, but worked as an advisor in the Pacific where, rumor has it, he got more than one enemy kill flying P-38's. His work there teaching pilots how to conserve fuel enabled them to nearly double their range.
