At todays MDRA launch in Coverdale, De I lost my all carbon fiber 3"
diameter rocket. It was last seen decending under partial chute across
the road from the launch site. The rocket is 6' tall, all black with a
silver tail cone. If anyone has seen this rocket please conact me at
kas219@comcast.net.
Thanks everyone

Put your name on the list. One rocket was found from three years ago
earlier in the season, so there is always hope.

I sent the list the information as soon as I got home. I guess the
only good thing is that with the entire rocket being carbon fiber it
should be in great shape years from now.....except the electronics.

I hope you included an identifier tag in your rocket somewhere! Good
luck on the future recovery...

We once lost a Machbuster out at El Mirage and found it two years later. The
BMW yellow paint was in perfect condition as were the decals and the BT/NC.
Only the 'chute was trashed.

I once found a Maxi Alpha two years after I launched it at a PARA
launch. I was looking for a THOY Robin. The Maxi-Alpha was in pretty
sad shape.

The worst part about being a curmudgeon is seeing all of your dire
predictions of disaster come true.

*smacking myself in the face*
As the rocket was on the pad I thought to myself that I should have
written my contact information on the rocket. I figured I'd take care
of it for the next flight. Oh well, live and learn.
As my wife said "I guess you'll have to build another one!" I sure do
love her. I can get away with murder now that the Steelers are in the
Superbowl!

I preprinted and laminated a sheet full of "If found, please call...."
and have them ready at launch.
Since I assemble my recovery system with snap swivels right at the
launch pad, I attach parachute/streamer and then ID tag onto the shock
cord.
Never lost a rocket yet, but at least now I have the illusion
preparedness.
