For rear facing intake valveless pulse jet, Whats the rule of thumb for
length of the combustion chamber compared to length of the entire
engine. Does anybody have some good tips on designing theese types of
engines?

I'm sure I've seen some detailed plans on the web in the past, I shall
post the link here if I can find it. Otherwise it would probably be
possible to measure the relative sizes from one of the many pictures on
the web and then apply them to the tube sizes you have handy. They
made one on scrapheap challenge as well in the last year or so. One
team made a gas turbine from a turbocharger and the other built a
lockwood pulse jet. Both successfully powered small Karts!
