Yep a lot of history has been twisted and hidden from public view.
Stuff like the original 7 Mercury 'Astonetts'.  Seven women pilots who
at the last minute before flying to the Cape for training had their
program cancelled.

Then the first black astronaut who trained during the same time as the
orginial Mercury 7, but was hidden from public view, after all, monkeys
into space were cute; negros into space weren't.

Anyhow, I hope for those of you who are not familiar with the Old Negro
Space Program enjoy this video documentary :P
