the only photos mentioned in the article are in theh stine archives. You
might do some google research or ask over in rec.pyrotechnics about the
relative diameters of 1lb skyrockets. Stine mentions that a caviar tube was
used for the body tube; some googling may provide some information there/
Once you have found an approximate size for the body tube, using the one
photo supplied in the article, you can get a ballpark length of the overall
rocket, nose cone, fins sizes,etc.

I actually built a sub scale version using seven MPC 13mm B motors.
It was glorious success in the soviet tradition, no photo available.
All seven motors ignited and lofted an egg payload. However, having
neglected to seal the gaps between the motors
