Who is "down" to be kicked?  These reloads (the KBA ones) haven't been
manufactured since the Aerotech fire.

Aren't the AMW casings the same as the Kosdon casings?  I'm a bit suprised
that they're for AMW hardware only and not the old (oop) Kosdon casings.

While regulations keep me from flying these motors, I like seeing the
manufacturers use a common casing.  I'd like to see common 24mm and 29mm
casings that would suport up to G motors, and multiple vendors making reloads
from them for both variety and to abate the "wind chime effect" (mfg going out
of business, leaving the casings as being good for little more than wind
chimes).

These are Aerotech reloads (not Kosdon reloads) for AMW hardware (not
Kosdon hardware)  AT certified White Lighting and Redline in AMW
cases.  AMW cases are not the same as Kosdon cases (different lengths,
nozzles, etc)  I'm not saying this is good, bad or whatever....just
that it isn't Kosdon propellant or Kosdon cases, this is AT propellant
in AMW cases.

Personally, I'd like to see just one type of case and I think the AMW
cases are great (I have both AT and AMW) but at the same time I fear
that if we're reduced down to one type of case, we'll eventually be
reduced down to one vendor and that can't be good for the hobby.

whoops!  I stand corrected.

I don't follow why one type of casing means one vendor?  Given how AT seems
willing to license others to manufacture hardware, but not propellant, I
suspect there isn't much money in casing sales, so the money is in the
propellant.

AMW has been down with their move for a while now. Seems like someone was
lying in wait for this oppurtounity.

Anonymous troll?

Marvelous, another motor manufacturer moving.  What motivated the move?

The last company I bought motors from moved because one of the parters dropped
out of the business.  I hope thats not the case here.

Should we hold AT at "fault" for using an opportunity?  The AT fire provided
an opportunity for others.  A few used that opportunity, but in the end AT
appears to have been able to retain their dominance of the hobby AP market.

It's a strange that AT is using Kosdon propellant in the AMW casings, but not
AT propellant; similarly they aren't using Kosdon propellant in AT casings.

well, ok, your replies were curteous so I take back the troll comment, and I
apoligize for making it.

Not many Kosdon fliers around these parts; I've only seen a Kosdon motor blow
out it's nozzle :) It's been my impression that the Kosdon, Kosdon East and
AMW casings were all the same casings.

I found it interesting that NAR certified the motors, while they refused to
recognise the certs of CTI motors in AT casings.

AMW are not the same as Kosdon (unless you have Kosdon East)
