Now that the court missed the July deadline... is there a new deadline, or
do we just "be patient"?

who knows? if you are waiting on word from der rabbit, tuff! the last official word from der rabbit was in february. but der rabbit will, as he has every time, ask that you not discuss the case because it might tip our hand to the atf. so in the words of der rabbit, STFU and send in more money.

Nope,
No new deadline. Some say this means the judge didn't need anymore
information and is taking his time to make a ruling. Nobody knows.
I suspect when he is ready, he will notify the parties.

Whenever Judge Walton schedules something else, it will be posted to the
court docket. Which is available at the court web site:
http://www.dcd.uscourts.gov/
But you will have to register for a PACER account and pay $0.08 per page
to access it. I will save you some effort and tell you that as of right
now, nothing has been posted to the docket since July 26 when the notice
vacating the status conference appeared.
