I am looking for info (even a kit) for getting video from a model
rocket.

I remember as a kid the Astrocam (i think it was called that) from
estes.  There must be something like that that does video.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

It depends on the size of the rocket, although some of the digital cameras
that do video can be pretty small.  www.boostervision.com

http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/EstesOracle/?yguid=2193483 is an easy
place to start.  The Estes Oracle "ready to fly" rocket delivers
adequate video.  They have a new unit coming out "any day now" that
looks like it might be a lot better.

And http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vidroc/?yguid=2193483 is a good place
to hang out.

Art Upton used to maintain boostervision.com but that seems to have been
subsumed under
http://www.cowboyrocketry.com/cbCart/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=3

There are quite a few people selling video units for R/C aircraft.
    Best wishes,

The Estes Oracle is not exactly sophisticated, but if all you want is
some cheap & quick video it might be just what you're looking for.

Estes catalog shows 2 models currently in production and sold with digital video.

They sell them through retailers. MANY online retailers.

A Google search of "Estes video" should find everything.
