The AN, Mg propellant is a newer development in the motor building hobby than AP, Al.
What do you mean by the latest in technology?
TONY S - 10 Dec 2007 00:38 GMT > TONY S schreef: > [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] > > What do you mean by the latest in technology? Just the latest trends and newest products.back when I started all you had were estes ,before the internet nobody had access to high power kits or ever thought of reloading ,I started pressing my own blackpowder motors twenty years ago and was called a mad bomber back then too!!!I've never belonged to any clubs ,and never saw any need ,living out in the "country"I didn't even know they existed!!!!On the rare occasion I made it into town where Kmarts was I was limited to what they sold ,Hell I still have a couple cox airplanes .and now I cant get fuel or parts from them localy ,that is why I started searching the internet.I would love to start back up again and get the kids into it.Pity though after the 911 thing its so hard to legaly get chemicals and supplies without automaticaly being LABLED!!!!! Just try walking into the local garden center and asking for 50# bags of nitrate fertilizer these days........

In 1972 came the "Enerjet" engines http://www.ninfinger.org/~sven/rockets/catalogs/enerjet72/72ejetf.html Centauri had composite engines about the same time or a little later. There were reloadable engines starting from the '60's (my mind's gone blank on what they were called - used one or two pellets of propellent and a thermalite wick to light them). All this stuff was around if you knew where to find it.

I already know tripoli, nra ,etc, any shops in S.E Michigan.already contacted public missles.

If I wanted to make my own motors and had to do it all myself, I would probably have to emigrate first (I don't have the machine shop to build hybrids). But, if I assume you live somewhere that it's legal to manufacture solid rocket motors then I might point you here: http://www.jamesyawn.com/ http://www.nakka-rocketry.net/

You see that "/" in front of the UKRA, L2 & RSO? When I was an electronics engineer we used to use that to indicate "not". Now I'm doing software, I guess I should really use "!".
