is......................................................!

Not really... just in the mind of one lonely, sad little nobody.

The S/N has actually gotten pretty good around here lately,
compared to what it used to be.  There is still an occasional
sporgery from chimp-boy, but nothing that a call to his ISP
can't fix.

Yup.

Just like his ISP stopped him last time.

Yeah, it's actually been pretty good lately; the news service that my
ISP uses has had their filters running (there's been ongoing attacks
here, and at a few other newsgroups). Unless someone actually takes the
time to respond to one of the sporgery messages I never even see the
headers.  It's as if they weren't even there.  Little does our little
darling know how much of his own time he's wasting, since a lot of us
never see the effects of his handiwork.

Please tell me why people keep responding to this dickless, reeking
pile of raw sewage? He obviously has some serious mother issues, among other
problems.

Ignore him long enough, and he will grow bored, and go spread his
sewage somewhere else.

Besides, all that "hipcrime" BS is so easily filtered. It actually
improves the s/n ratio in the goup.

Yep, I'm slowly learning, "filters work". Now if I can just compleatly
stop responding to the few individuals that respond to the "dickless,
reeking pile of raw sewage". Progress is slow sometimes, especially for
us confrontational A-type personalities. (:-)..

Ed,
If you wish to talk rocketry, then rocketry it is. If on the other hand,
you wish to sling sh.t, then you and anyone else should expect similar
responses. Now, what was the subject of your last rocketry post??? I
must of missed it Ed -- other than your persistent antagonistic ragging

your getting pretty well the majority of it liek anyone else is
espeically any that may just drop in to perhaps join this god

group renamed to somehting along the lines of Rec.old.biddies  as you

Are you using a vacuum bag set-up or stretching and cinching the ends of

So far I've been just using the stretching technique and that seems to
working well.  However, I built a composite oven and eventually will be
doing the shrink tape method.

The vacuum technique seem too complicated for me.

I found an old 50" aluminum roller tube at a salvage yard that fit
inside 4" lock tubing. The tube had just enough slop in the fit that a
spiral wrap of Wax paper, overlaid by about an inch, was enough to make
a snug fit. I also have a Wigetech Vacuum Bagging kit, bought @ a
surplus DOD DRMO tool sale. One of the civilian techs in the FAB shop I
used to supervise, before I retired from the USAF, gave me some OJT, and
I been using it to do rocket fins, 4" tubing, and Quickie 500 RC
aircraft foam wings; even made a few boat and airplane composite surface
repairs for friends.  If you want to really make light composite parts,
bagging is the only way to git-r-done.

I have also used the shrinktape process: bought the video tape from
Shadow Composites, works real good on the smaller tubing, like 29 mm, 38
mm, & 54 mm. Tried using it on some cheap 3" paper tube, but the
compression was to much for the tubing and it warped, causing the
coupler to no longer fit. That's when I started looking @ mandrels.

I just got some 6" tubing and I plan on vacuum bagging that as soon as I
order and receive a full 48" coupler.

For my curing oven, I converted an old upright deep freezer. Takes up
quite a bit of space as I striped it out and mounted it horizontally on
a long table, but it works great.

You're being nice to our little friend. However, Habeeb  must first
recognize he has a problem, before we can help... Self denial is the
biggest obstacle to self improvement. OTH, maybe his towel is wrapped to

Is the roller tube used just for reenforcement of the LOC tube or to
make a compatible composite tube to the LOV 4" tube?

Yup, got the same video.  I ruined a decent LOC 4" tube on my first try
at shrink tape but that was due to my forgetting to use wax on my mylar
wrap.

I would imagine that vacuum bagging would apply *more* pressure than
shrink taping, right?

Custom tubing source?

I built my from the Shadow Aero plans.  Thinking back I wished I built
it longer.  Only can do 32" tubes right now.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, but Ted (Freddies bed and a.s mate) hates the taste of
vaseline, since he likes to lick old Freds a.s once he gets done
playing with it. Guess Ted and Freddie is doomed to do it dry and

Just for reenforcement, so for. I'm thinking about attempting a carbon
fiber tube build-up using the aluminum tube as a mandrel. Cant make up
my mind; lay-up with CF cloth or go for the big bucks and use a CF sleeve.

VB can apply more pressure, but the vacuum can be controlled and the
vacuum pressure is applied more uniformly across the tube surface.

Red arrow Hobbies and Giant Leap.. However, both sell only phonolic, if
I remember correctly. If you want full length Paper, Barry @ LOC may be
able to help.

Fred,

From what I've read on the Yahoo composites group (assuming I
understand it correctly), I would be more inclined to use go with a CF
fabric rather than a sleeve.  The sleeves give a result close to FWFG
where the strength of the fibers is not at an angle perpendicular to
where it will be most effective to the loads it will encounter going
through mach.  I'm planning to make some CF airframe using plain weave
fabric.

From experimenting, with it, I'd say the waxed mylar works great. It's
available in several thicknesses from McMaster.com.

Savannah; I wonder if he does his rocket thing with SHARC.

I also wonder if the abuse desk @ PeoplePC would be interested in his
activities just may check it out. Of course, I'm not to smart when it
comes to this computer stuff. Can't wait for our little friends response
to this, beings his Enos Burdett caper/bluff turned out to be another of
his anon attempts to masquerade as some kind of tuff guy... As my dad

I doubt that bunch understand your reasoning. Earl is a waste, not much
different than the a$$wipes you mentioned, also including the new
a$$wipe roid enos. EC's first posts, (quite recent), on RMR are as you
mentioned, and for the most part hasn't changed. One thing for sure,
none of those individuals will ever have the guts to man-up face to face
with their hidding behind the key-board drival. But I have great news
for them: MDRA is having a launch the 12th and 13th of JAN. While it
looks like I won't be there on the 12th, because of business return
travel, I'll be @ the launch on the 13th, only to launch rockets and
enjoy the experience...(;-)

Wow!  Huge shocker!

Fred is again threatening to punch out someone with whom he disagrees.

Who would have expected such a thing?

Fred's almost constant stream of threats of phyical violence
is one more great example of why this group has ecome wortlss.

Ed, when, specifically, have I threatened violence to you? Btw, I didn't
threaten to punch anyone else either...can't you read and understand the
literal meaning of what I said??
Now that doesn't mean I won't confront, antagonize, and respond
accordingly to what happens..(:-)

Once again: If you wish to talk rocketry, then rocketry it is. If on the
other hand,
you wish to sling sh.t, then you and anyone else should expect similar
responses. Now, what was the subject of your last rocketry post??? I
must of missed it Ed -- other than your persistent antagonistic ragging
on other posters.

lots of alcohol.

Yep, Netscape 7.2 allows for creative filtering also. The one
individual, I never see anymore, unless one of his drones, (Earl
Chandler for example), responds to him. Heck, come to think about it, I
don't even see EC's postings, sense filtering his address. (:-) I think
Big Habeeb might be another prospective filter candidate....
