I'm in the process of posting an electronic copy of Bertrand Brinley's
"Rocket Manual For Amateurs" in abmr. It's a huge file (330M), and is posted
in a split-file format. You are welcome to download and reassemble the file
if you like, and can figure out the process (instructions are included).
However, I think this will be offered in smaller chunks on a major rocketry
web service in the very near future in case you don't want to go through the
bother of dealing with it in NNTP

I'm on a satellite connection, and this will be an interesting test - how
long to upload 1/2 a gig of info? I UUE encoded the files, so they are
pretty big, even split up. So far, about 2.5 hours to upload 150M....

Good luck!

A large percentage of these messages  were dropped by my ISP's news
server. I suspect that this is due to the very large size, greater than
40,000 lines, of many of the messages. ~5,000 lines would have been a
lot better.

David,

Yep. My whole purpose, really, was to make it available to the owner of a
rocketry website, who has indicated they will be hosting it. They got the
file, and it should be available to all pretty soon.
