I removed the bolt from the rail, on my rail, and checked it. The bolt
excepted a, "3/8" national course", threaded nut. The bolt appears to be
a standard 3/8" bolt with the head removed and 1&1/8" of thread. Several
years ago I used JB Weld epoxy to secure the bolt shank inside the
7&1/2" mounting rod, as the allen retaining nut on the mount rod did not
hold the bolt secure, in the mount rod very well.
Hope this helps.
