That was an awsome kit I had one when younger and found it a challenge to
build but it was a great rocket on C6-3's used a C6-5 only once.  It nosed
over and the extra seconds we all thought it was a gonner. Thanks for
reminding me.  Another one I need to clone.

I must admit, I can't recall much of my rocketry from my childhood
days.  (Except that my friends and I were Centuri snobs, and looked
down our noses at Estes stuff.  Now that I think about it, I'm
aclueistic as to why.)  But, I do recall my BAR days when my son got
me back got into it (even *that* was over 10 years ago!), and today
with my grandson.

One of my favorite single staged rockets has to be the SkyWinder.  I
even flew it on D-powered Aerotek 18mm reloadables. Had several,
because I still haven't successfully stopped the Aerotek ejection
charge from doing damage to that rocket. :)  (Most of the time, it
simply blew the nose cone right off! :)

One of my favorite 24mm rockets was the Maniac.  My son and I had a
couple of those - each flew a couple times - each were eventually
lost.  Easy build for kids to get into.  The Maniac is OOP, but the
Eliminator is the same thing, and our current fleet has one.  I'm
currently building the two-stage, 24mm CC Express right now - I've
modified the upper stage to accommodate either D or E motors.  Both
the Executioner and the 2x24mm clustered 36-D Squared are on my want
list.

The idea of a minimum diameter 2 stage using a D booster to an E upper
stage like Roger Coppock mentioned in the "best staged rocket?"
discussion sounds excellent!  I'm going to have to follow your lead,
Roger! :)
