It was twenty years ago that (this spring) that I moved to town and started back at the U. Got a job at the U Sept 25th, and got an "official" usenet/ internet* account. Up until then it was just FidoNet on dialup (I still have the 2400 baud external modem!). *OK, was it really teh intarwebs even back then? Ok, here are my contributions/remembrances, of/to, the celebration... 1. Best and most knowledgeable glue expert ever on rmr: Paul "Fly Baby Fly" Diming. He knew/knows more about glue than the factory and was one of the most courteous posters on rmr when I arrived in January of 1996. 2. Best name: Yitah Woo. Personally, I think Yitah secretly started Ebay and single-handedly caused the price of OOP rockets to spike from his many auctions 10 years ago. 3. "Jerry did it!" Whatever it was. Can't have a thread to celebrate rmr without mentioning Jerry. 4. And just for the heck of it...
