I am in the market for a ARTF electric glider using 7.2v to 9.6v standard
buggy sized packs as I all ready have these from my buggy ,concorde ,and
twinjet , something alone the lines of a Ripmax Nebula with budget around
the £100 for the airframe I have 4 small servos hitec hs 81 a 30 amp esc and
a receiver waiting for the right model not to bothered about out and out
performance just a bit of lazy fun and possibly some aerobatic performance
would not go amiss so 3 channel or 4 channel
what would you buy? And yes I can fly to nearly a B cert standard

I had a Protech Alpha 180, and that needed 8.4v to really fly it on
stock 600 motor and 8x4.5 folder.

It would loop, but that was about it. no ailerons. Good tough plane tho,
and I enjoyed flying teh pants off it. Destroyed it trying to barrel
roll it at 30' altitude...

Can see how that might do the trick with a 3 chan glider... mental note low
level acro's look big and clever, but digging your model out with a spade
can bring you down to earth faster than it came down it'self! DoH

I have a nebula, and its a great plane on lazy sunny afternoons, what
I also have is a pair of Sirus wings.  The Ripmax Sirus has aileron
wings and T tail, but uses the same body as the Nebula, so its worth
ordering a pair of these and using them when you want to be a bit more
active.

Thjat sounds like a good idea how did you order the spare wings was it
online or the local hobby shop

My local model shop get me a pair easy enough, same as they can get
spare bodies when you pile it into the deck.........  The basic 600 it
comes with is a bit lame.  I have brought a new 600 3:1 and 11x6 from
Als, which was recently advertised in RCME (or it might have been QFI)
for £50.  Climb rate is soooo much better.
