Hi all,

Is there there  a decent on line store for model spares et all, I have tried
several google searches for a decent site selling to Joe public with out any
luck.

I had hoped to find the equivelant of Maplin on line.

many thanks Peter

Try www.inwoodmodels.co.uk they have quite a bit of their stock
online.  SMC and Als also have good online shops but probably not with
so many of their products.

What you have failed to clarify is your particular want.
There are alot of suppliers of particular items eg Just Engines for engines
etc.
They are there just ask, someone will know.

Hi

the problem I have is that at this time of year i work a 6 day week, so time
to browse around model shops is hard to find.

It would be really usefull to browse on line. There has to be an opening
here for a decent on line store ?

The best two I've found so far are www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk and
www.towerhobbies.com
Tower is in the USA but ship to the UK, and they list a nice lot of stuff.
Sussex's website leaves a bit to be desired, but I guess it's not practical
for them to list absolutely every little part and item they sell. It's the
most comprehensive UK one I've found at least, and you can always find the
majority of what you want online, then phone them and ask for the
ancilleries etc. that aren't listed.
