Anyone know where I can get a crimp tool for servo connectors.
The only one I have seen is at Al's Hobbies but this is sold as a set with a
load of connectors and I just want the crimp tool itself.
Are any that are sold by Maplin or Farnell suitable?
Maplin sell the connectors but don't indicate which crimp tool you should
use (or whether they even sell it).
Farnell (www.cpc.co.uk) have hundreds of crimp tools but there is not enough
info to tell what each one is for.
Cheers,

I use this one from Rapid: http://short.zen.co.uk/?id=1a4 with their own
0.1" pitch connectors, which are bigger than proper servo connectors but
will still plug into some receivers and cost less. It might work with
the proper connectors too, but I haven't got any to try (if you want to
send me one I could try it out for you?)
I've been looking for a sensibly priced source of the genuine
connectors. The best I've found is Ashtek:
http://www.ashtekelectronics.com/store/ which sells a pack of 10 for
£2.95 but I still reckon that's fairly expensive (much cheaper than
Maplin at £1.49 each though). Ashtek used to sell a crimp tool which
looked exactly like the Rapid one, but they seem to have stopped selling
it now.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer
