Hi all,
I'm restoring an old airframe-I managed to get most of the old
Solarfilm off without too many problems, but I found that the airframe
had been painted underneath and THAT I'm having problems with....Tried
sanding-got through lots of paper with not much paint removed. Tried
heat gun on max-scorched the wood....would a commerical paint stripper
such as Nitromors be ok to use on a blasa and ply structure, and more
improtantly, would it work??? I've also seen a 'mousse' type stripper
that you spray on and leave to soak-that work too??
TIA

What will work depends on what the paint is made of.
Try different solvents, on small areas where any serious damage would not be
too hard to repair.
Cellulose thinners may be a good solvent to start with.
