I've got a cheapo electric helecopter, i thought i had identified the TX
(see last post from me) but it dosent seem to be the Zhen Hua unit i thought
it was, it might be, looks similar in layout, but having seen the internals
of the zehn hua, it's not the same.
Anyway, i really wanted to get this controller working with model flight
sims, downloaded FMS, read that most of the cheapie radio sets use a generic
pcm signal or something like that, and thus wont work with the flight sims,
buddy box stuff, or even other rx's.
But for the flight sim thing, i got hold of PPJoy, and after a lot of
faffing about, mot helped by the connector on the TX being loose thus
loosing the data stream, i finaly got control of the models using my TX,
using the Zhen Hua protocol that i thought i needed gave garbled data, but
my TX works on the 3rd of the normal controllers protocols.
Anyway, Right now i have a helecopter, and thus the TX is in mode 1 i
believe, throttle on the right,
having never flown owt before now is the time to get used to a controller
type i guess, and i've heard that only helecopters use that configuration,
planes you use the throttle on the left,
Which is best?
I must admit that the throttle on the right even for the chopper seems
awkward, i have up/down, tilt left/right on the right, and rotate left/right
and fly forwards/backwards on the left, it feels like i should at least have
up/down, rotate left/right on the same stick?
Should i change the throttle over to the left stick and learn the fly the
chopper like that, or leave as is, and learn to fly planes with the throttle
on the wrong side?

it will make little difference which mode you fly until you need your
helicopter or plane test flow by somebody else, if all your flying is
going to be on your own then go with the mode that suits you otherwise
chose the same mode as the rest of the people you are planning to fly with
