Well I'm struggling with this one....It's a 480 motor, metal shaft
(obviously), but a plastic pinion. The pinion is not a very tight fit
on the shaft to start with (wear?), so it slips like crazy when I open
the throttle. I've tried cyano and epoxy but no joy. If it was a metal
pinion I'm sure I could collet it onto the shaft, but it's plastic so I
can't.
Anyone have any suggestions?
cheers

I don't really know if this would work, but silicone sealant seems to stick
like the proverbial.

Try degreasing the shaft, give it a rub with a Scotchbrite pad, fillthe
pinion with sealant and push it into place. Leave ast least 24 hours to cure
nd see what happens.

try a new brass pinion with blue locktight, that'll fix it. They cost all of
£2.50.
