Hello to all here.  I have not posted here before and apologice that
my first post is an advert!

I have a P51 racer model with engine that I wouild like to sell - I
bought it from a friend a few years ago to help him out at a time when
cash was tight and it's been strung from the roof of my garage ever
since.  I had planned to fly it, but have never had the time.  :-(

I don't know a lot about it or whether it has ever flown, but it is in
good condition.  It is fitted with an engine (sorry, no idea of what
sort either!) but no servos or electrics.  Size is about 4 foot
wingspan with fixed undercarriage.  I can take photographs to email
out if anyone is interested.  Suggested asking price from what I see
elsewhere - £100.  Located in London and if anyone has any interest, I
can be contacted on the above email - andrew dot wegg at hotmail dot

David's given me some good feedback on what this is.  Not a P51 but a
Midget Mustang racer or possibly a Club Twenty or Forty racer.  The
airframe is in reasonable order - glass fibre fuselage and built up
( I think) wings.  The wing a tail covering has some bubbling and the
paint on the fuselage is a bit scrappy.  All seems structurally solid
however.  The engine is an OS Max FP 843.  Rather oxidised externally
but it was free to turn by hand last time I looked.  I've had the
manifold off tonight and it looks clean internally - I had stopped up
the intake and exhausts while it was in storage.  There;s also a fuel
tank, a head & shoulder and a glow plug starter connector thing.
Internally there are control linkages but no electrics or servoes.

Offers invited for airframe only or the whole lot.  Located SE London.

To advise - I;ve given David first refusal on this model.
Trefor - 22 Feb 2007 17:55 GMT
Actually, Andrew,
No offence, but from the photos, it looks like a tired old airframe, with an
even tireder old engine. If I saw it at a "Bring and Buy" I might take a
punt and offer £30. so if David offers more than this, you've done very
well.

There are some incredibly stupid people on EBay, so you might do well
there...best of luck
