I don't know the specific answer to that, but be aware that a fuel line that
is very floppy may not bend to a new pickup position it could fold back on
itself and cut off the supply! The cluck tank pipe needs to be able to fall
around with bends in the pipe rather than a fold. I suggest you check on
that first of all including simulating a knock to see if the clunk jars into
the forward position and gets stuck!

I must admit that I would expect the pipe to be OK with glow fuel but why
not check it on a section of external pipe that you can replace easily,
should it show signs of failing in some way. Of course you need to employ
another model to do that if you have one available and suitable.

Stuck forward clunks are something that happen now and then especially on
smaller tanks.
