Anyone been to the Sandown exhibition today - what's to be watched out
for? I'm going tomorrow (Friday)

Andrew

Any chance of an update if you managed to get there today. On another
forum I have been looking at they seem to say that there are not many
of our suppliers that have made the trip. I'm looking for a couple of
small chucks and some collets so is it worth getting up early or should
I wait until the end of the month.

I went this lunchtime - quite disappointed really...

Not many trade stands - RDG Tools and Chester stood out as being notably
absent (possibly weather related), and not all that many models upstairs
either.  Seemed to be more 'bric-a-brac' type stands than last year.

It seems to get smaller every year - I wonder how long it can keep going...

Hope the London one is better...

Cheers,

       Jez.

Spent a little time there today. Most of the usual suppliers Chronos,
Warco, Myford etc and quite a few used machinery dealers. Not too
crowded to stop you moving but enough people to make looking at what
you wanted to not easy! Relatively few models but some good club
stands. SM&EE put on an excellent display as usual (but I would say
that wouldn't I <G>)

Went yesterday and must agree that the show is not as good as previous
years, Did get some bargains a Vernier height gauge for £15 and a 3mt
revolving centre for £10 all brand new and off the same stall. Proops were
missing as well as Chester and RDG.   my personal feeling is that the show
is at the wrong time of year, Christmas week is a busy time for most of us.
Some of the traders and exhibitors come a long way and when the show
finishes on New years eve we can all go home get washed and go out to see
the new year in, they have to pack up and then drive for a few hours
possibly arriving home at midnight. I feel that a lot of them think it's not
worth it, would the show not be better in say February?

 Paul.

Thanks guys, I don't feel a million dollars so I will stop in bed this
time and try again at the end of the month.
