I see they have 15% buyer's premium and VAT at 17.5%, that starts to add up once
it gets past a few hundred pounds or so, plus the collection/delivery costs.

And they have 15% of the seller as well Peter.Not a bad earner when a
lot of the stuff sold is photographed,described and listed by the
seller.All they do is host the site (in most cases)
and redistribute the money after taking their cut.In a lot of cases as
well they either have appointed machinery movers you must use or
require a risk assessment and method statement,insurance and certified
equipment before you can move it yourself.Still a lot of good buys to
be had though especially in the bigger pieces of equipment.
