Does anyone know of a supplier of straightforward replacement wheelsets for
Lima coaches and wagons? I've tried searches on the internet, but the only
one I came up with was DC Kits producing an Lima length axle for 'multiple
units' at 12mm and 14mm. Not sure if that would be suitable or not.
Reason for asking is my track for my layout will be C&L, and the Lima
flanges (particularly the earlier deeper ones) catch the rail chairs.
TIA,
Ian J.

IIRC, the Lima axles are shorter than "standard" - 24mm as opposed to the
more normal 26mm over pinpoints. (I think those are the right numbers.....)
The wheels (and axles) supplied by DC are made by Romford - quite suitable
for C&L track.
I got a full set for my HST (excluding power cars) from Chas at DC and it
runs like a treat. DC probably aren't the only supplier of these wheels, but
I have no reason to complain about his service................

Jackson/Romford produce wheels sets with the *shorter* Lima-length axles,
but I've just re-wheeled some Lima pallett vans using standard axle length
Jackson wheelsets without any problems.

You could also try out www.ultrascale.co.uk though I think they may only do
P4 an EM gauges.
Cheers,
Rob.
