Wow! What number of variations on a theme!
But what a godawful numbering system...
Not that many mfrs have anything remotely resembling a logical system,
such as NNNN - mmm, where NNNN denotes a type of locomotive, car,
structure, etc, and mmm denotes a specific variation of that type. Now
that would make it simple to keep track of what's what. But I guess we
can't ask for simplicity, can we. :-)
