Not a clue from that what you're looking for Steve. Afraid you're going to
have to be a bit more specific.
Are there not exploded diagrams on the Hornby website which might allow you
to identify the part you've lost?

I'm guessing he means the smokebox door, as I think that is the only loose
bit on the 9F body that vaguely fits the description. As far as places to
try, the usual two suspects are East Kent Models and Modelspares. Googling
for either will produce contact details.

If all else fails you could buy a Dapol loco kit, new or secondhand, and fit
and glue that smokebox door to the Hornby model.
