Is it only Ultrascale that do direct replacement wheels for RTR diesel
locos? I have just fitted a Modeltorque motor to a Lima 121 bubble car and
would like to replace the wheels but it seems to me that Ultrascale are:

a) Expensive, ~£15 +p&p for 4 axles
b) Have an incredibly long (18 week) delivery time.

Are there any alternatives?

Thanks

Doesn't seem to do any Lima though.

If you want a drop-in wheelset complete with moulded plastic gear, then
there are no alternatives.  If you are prepared to slice the gear off
the Lima wheels, then you can use Alan Gibson's wheels.  This is
actually quite easy to do.

However, £15 really is not expensive for what you're getting from
Ultrascale, although the lead time does need a bit of forward planning.
These wheels are the best, although the tyres are nickel silver.
Whether or not that is a problem is up to you!

Don't suppose you're after a set in P4 are you?  I might be able to
reduce that lead time!
