Evening gents,
I've been noticing the stable of Vitrains Cl37s has been increasing
rapidly of late. Does anyone have any opinions of them with regards to
comparisons with the Bachmann model etc?
I've also decided I'd like to model the 4 pre grouping locos that James
Ness (GM of ScR at the time) decided to overhaul in 1958 for special
trains, i.e. NBR 256 Glen Douglas, HR 103 'Jones Goods', GNSR 20 Gordon
Highlander and of course CR 123.
There are of course plenty Triang models of the Caley singles on the
secondhand market, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had a go
at super detailing one etc? I recall several HR types used to be
available in kit form in the past, but I forget the manufacturer,
likewise several NBR types (at least J35/37 at any rate) but I'm not
sure about GNSR.
All replies appreciated.

So has the recommended retail price. The last couple of releases are up to
GBP65.00 from GBP59.99 for the earlier models.
The importers were noted for unannounced and significant price hikes when
they handled Lima - seems they've learned little from the past.
John.

GEM did the Glen and Scott. The kits are probably still findable.

Hi in reply to your queries the Scott and Glen kits are still available from
GEM Kits (use google) and a host of other Scotish locos are available from
DJH kits (use google again )
