Any comments about buying from Mainly Train?

Reliable or otherwise?

I'd second that, though latterly he has cut back on what he stocks- check
the web-site, which is kept more up-to-date than many I've used.

Back when I still lived in  the UK and modelled OO, I used them for
their comprehensive catalogue of kits and bits.

I was a perfectly satisfied customer.

I still used the local model shop where I could though, because of
personal service and wanting them to stay in business.

But Dave Cleall had a huge selection of kits and bits they didn't
keep.

I never had any problems. This is actually pretty good praise for a
mail order business.

Have used them in the past - range is now too small - anything I want os out
of stock

It's a conscious decision on Dave Cleal's part to reduce the stock so
that he can semi-retire.  He's really now just concentrating on his own
range of products plus a few other bits and pieces.
