Gary Coleman, star of the 1980s sitcom "Different Strokes" and also a
co-star in "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" (alongside my reason for
watching the show Erin Gray http://lh3.ggpht.com/abramsv/SAui1kkZr1I/AAAAAAAAO1o/s0uVM-H_gk8/erin_gray0124.jpg)
died late last month. He apparently was a keen model train enthusiast
and had a large train set in the basement of his $315,000 home.
He is hardly cold and already three separate wills have appeared. The
latest claims his ex wife ( who she claims to be still his 'common
law' wife ) will get his estate. It also requests that all of the
model train supplies he owned be given to four model train shops in
Southern California.
Yes the vultures are circling. What I find strange is that he did not
give his railway stock to a charity ?

Gary worked at Allied Model Trains in Los Angeles. Allied and The
Original Whistle Stop in Pasadena are affiliated. Fred is part of the
ownership of both. Many celebrities deal with Allied as well as The
Whistle Stop for their train needs. I've done work for celebrities
through Allied. Walk into Allied and you never know who you may run
into. If they play with trains, they deal with these two stores.
It's not a case of vultures. What better way of disposing of a
collection properly than to have 2 of the best Train Stores in Los
Angeles be a part of the disposal.

current/ex wife has already stolen and sold off some items. You have to
wonder what a 20 something is doing with a 40 something has been.
