There are plans for a wild thing on this site, I cannot recommend them
enough as both an easy build and a great stable hull. The plans are
for a 48 inch version however being that I run electric also I got the
cad version of the plans shrunk down to 26inches so that I could run a
540 brushless successfully.
As long as you put a lot of floatation in the bow, you shouldn't get
any sinking problems. One of the best bits of kit that you can buy if
you are running f/e boats is either an inflatable boat for retrieval or
join a club where they will have a boat on hand.

Luckily the club does have a recovery boat, unfortunately the club uses
an old reservoir and boats do get last from time to time, usually the
fast expensive ones :( , they do have a problem with underwater plant
life, and divers are few and far between in northern England lol
Yes I like the Wild Thing also the Pay N Pak boat, both seem very do
able with the experience/budget i have
