Model Sailing Boats, Their Design,Building & Sailing by E W Hobbs with
352 photographs,diagrams & working drawings.1929 ,VGC. 312 pages.
Just the best book on the subject there is,hugely thorough. The
opening chapter reviews model yachting in general, and is followed by
a chapter on the choice of a boat, with illustrations of thirty-seven
different types. An explanation of the fundamenta1s of model naval
architecture shows the enthusiast how to design a boat, and there are
chapters on the practical work of construction and fitting out. The
principles of sailing are dealt with and followed by detailed
explanations of the principal classes of racing models used for Club
and International sailing. Schooners have a chapter to themselves.

I recommend an additional book: Small Sailing Craft by Daniels and Tucker.
See the mention of it on my web site at www.angelfire.com/fl4/mft where I
show
the cover page.
