LiPo battery, is it worth it?

i want to get a KWA KM4A1, but it comes with no charger or battery. it
says it's LiPo ready, but i've heard that they have problems. What are
the risks and benfits of having a LiPo battery (we'll say it's 11.1v
and 1800 MaH) as opposed to a regualr NiCd or NiHM battery? if i didn't
get a LiPo battery ($65), would a 10.8v 2000 MaH (50) or less

doesn't help the LiPo's cause...

Pros: rechargeable powerful increase rate of fire and range in AEGs
because of the extra power boost
Lighter than other batteries
Last Longer
Short Charge Time

Cons:You overcharge it, it explodes
You shortcircuit it (example: get it wet) it stops working or explodes
Loses 20% capacity after 500 charges/discharges

It also really depends at the power, endurance and rate of fire your
looking at. The higher the battery power, the higher the rate of fire
(if is an Automatic Electronic Gun). Higher battery power also
increases battery endurance (if your fighting with a 9v, it will only
last about 1000-1500 rounds, or a couple matches, but higher batteries
will last half the day or the entire day depending on power.

I've been using LIPOs in boats and airplanes for 2 years without problems.
I am always careful to charge them at or below the recommended rate, usually
1 amp per 1000 mAh of battery capacity or less. I have never had a fire or
even a swollen cell this way and the packs only become warm to the touch
during charging. My 3000 mAh, 3S1P pack will charge fully in 40 to 50
minutes at 3 amps. I use a manual cell balancer every 3 to 5 charges, to
keep the cells evenly charged. With LIPOs, discharging them too far can
ruin the battery pack, thus a good ESC, that is properly set, is important.
All this said, I only use LIPOs where weight and/or size are concerns. NIMH
batteries are cheaper and I don't have to be so careful with them.

I have had good luck with their LIPOs and the cost is reasonable. I have
also bought LIPOs from 2 providers on EBay and found those particular packs
to be shorter lived.
