Have a serious question, may sound dumb. I want to build a large rc boat
to pull baits through the surf  to fish for sharks from the beach. Most
people use ocean kayaks. Can't handle that.  Are there radios out there
that would give me an effective operating range of 300+ yards? Please
help. Thanks

Most quality radios should do this no problems.

The only issue might be if the boat drops behind a wave so you have a
wall of water between you and the boat.  This may cause interference and
cause you boat to go into failsafe (if you have this feature and it's
set). If you are elevated from the water, this will reduce the problem.
