Hi all

I am on this site to study all the tips & learn.....

Thinking of something 'self-built' and I like the idea of a -Fan
boat-.

Light, agile & *cheap*... it is to keep the Grandchildren happy.

I get a lot of fun out of making things (Engineer by training) & they
love being outside, Ha Ha!

This cost me nowt... but it is FUN - nuff said.

this is a bit of silliness... but it is -quick -(in the bath!)

thinking of a *1metre* job... TwinFan - but with simple: L/R-on/off

:fan control, for turning.

that means no hull perforations.. could use bottles for
flotation/pontoons & a simple sheet plastic deck.
twin pylons for the motors & battery/RC deck mounted in 'cabin'.

Simplicity itself..... in fact EBay has blown plastic bodied toys
(smaller & costlier) on all the time..!!!

YouToob... what i can envisage - but not a 'hull-boat' though.

Picked up a 1:16 R/c Truck (no remote) from the charity shop, today =
£2.50;)

I have a remote - which works with it - so now 100%!!

The old car (with the Remote) is now spare - -SO- - i'm going to use
the chassis for controlling my *Airboat*:D

The (GO) power control will run both toothbrush (3V) motors & I am
rigging a spring/switch so that the L/R (TURN) button will switch off
_either_ motor - to turn!!:)

Got to sort out some 'flotation' now... LoL

:D... Well:- my little car is No More....

The drive motor (3V) is now to pair with the other, toothbrush, motor.

Need 2 make the props.. mebbies Ally or mebbies Acrylic..Dunno:cool:
I will mount the props using a brass terminal block, screwed onto the
motor shaft & the prop Araldited to it.

The Circuit board is a good bit smaller than the car body... so it
should all fit into a small plastic box - aerial thru the lid &
batteries outside (location determined for stability).

Still looking for flotation - bleach bottles are big &
_hard_skinned_.... probably go for two & a deck between.

When i get a bit further i will post Piccies....
