hi guys im marc from malta a small island in europe mid Mediterranean
sea. i thank most of you for your help i joined this forum a week ago
and i have got some plans from you guys thanks alot.. after abit of
evaluation i opted for the 72 inch. scaled it down to 54 inches as for
me i saw it wil be to big as 72 inch even to transport in my car.. i
started working on it today. follow my post i will put up photos of the
work going on hopefully tomorrow after my first day as this night i re
scaled it and in the afternoon had it printed and right now started
cutting the wood. hope to be supervised by some highly experienced
people and please if you do notice something wrong tell me thanks. im
planning to finish the boat in wood and after using it to make a mould
and the boat i will finally use will be a fibreglass hull. as an engine
i am going to look for a chain saw engine or a 33cc engine from a
portable water pump. i will convert it with a water cooled head and also
something that i am going to try is to put up a ratio between the engine
and main shaft to put up the revs due to being at 6500 on these engines.

Hello, I am also somewhat new here and I used to the 72 inch mono plans
scaled down to 65 inches. I am currently in the fiberglassing stage and
have not been able to post pictures yet because I have been ... busy.
I, myself, am building it to be as cheap as possible. I got all the
wood free, and aluminum free, engine - had one, only paid for the
fiberglass. Being that way, I am setting mine up with one rudder, that
will be completely custom...and completely free! The only thing I need
to figure out is how to get my engine to the prop.
If you are willing to spend more, I would suggest a double rudder due
to the size of the boat...but I am an amateur as well, this being my
first boat. So, good luck to you in your boat building as well!
