You want to ask this in rec.models.scale, or one of the many
alt.models.scale.* newsgroups, they'll know.

I'm cross-posting it to rec.models.scale to see what they say.

Gary:

You want to go to   http://www.bluejacketinc.com
or call 1-800-448-5567 for a catalog.
This is Bluejacket shipcrafters website. They make a 1/192 scale kit
for the escort carrier Gambier Bay and they have both a Grumman Wildcat
and a Grumman Avenger in 1/192 scale. The aircraft are cast in clear
resin and when you paint the aircraft you leave the cockpit unpainted. I
know that by 1944 the "Big E" probably had Hellcats instead of Wildcats,
but the Avengers should be good to use.
