Hi
Does anyone know where I can get the bit that holds a crystal in the
transmitter, not a carry case. Only places in England please.
Thanks Himszy

I spoke to McGreggor about 6 weeks ago about crystals. They are the UK
distributor for JR equipment. According to Ken, they were short of crystals
then so if they are so will the shops.

Try this place, they have lots of spares for RC transmitters ect... :

"Below is listed the standard crystal sockets that many R/C manufactures
used"
otherwise try http://www.google.co.uk with a search string of "Crystal
Sockets"
Cheers

You might not need a conventional socket - I built an R/C receiver years ago
and it just used two gold plated pins - one end male to solder through the
board and the other end female to take the "pins" of the crystal. It was a
robust arrangement.
The receiver is dead (the glider went in the sea!) but its still in a drawer
somewhere if you want some "salvage"!
