I know I'm full of stupid questions but has anyone had any experience
running RC boats around Trumpeter Swans. If so did the swans attack the boat
or tuck tail and run?

Don't know just what type of swans are at our pond but we have
co-existed with them for years. Once they are used to the models they
don't bother about them. Only if you get too close or close to any
cygnets might they peck at the model. We have had them swimming
through the fast electric course while the race was taking place, with
one out of control model actually going under one of the swans,
without it bothering about it. The only models that tend to bother
them are large yachts with their white sails.

Thanks for the response Jim,
I've been wanting to put a RC boat on this lake for years but have been
reluctant due to the aggressiveness of these swans, they will attack a pedal
boat with people in it and kill anything white such as a goose or duck.
Thanks again, your post makes me think that if I stick a boat in front of
them enough they will get used to it. I may get a cheap toy boat and see
what happens before I invest in something more fun.

PS, Black bill = Trumpeter, Orange bill = Mute Swan and the Mute's are
supposed to be even more aggressive than the Trump's.
