Has anyone built an Amati "kit" before and would they recommend them?
Am asking for a friend who is considering purchasing the "Endeavour
1934 - Uk Challenger" from the America's Cup Collection. We hav
looked elsewhere for a review on this kit but seem to keep drawing
blank. Also has anyone any leads onto European suppliers of thes
kits?, the closest i've found so far is Germany.
Any info gratefully received as it's a project he's hoping to undertak
sometime in the near future.
By the way, he's hoping to convert it to a RC model instead of a stati
one so i would imagine there'll be more questions asked before he'
finished

Amati are an Italian company making good kits, heard nothing bad about them.
I believe Westbourne Models at Bournemouth can supply them, they have a
good shop but also do mail order and have a webb site at
www.westbourne-models.co.uk
Good luck

Thanks for the reply Ken, the link you gave me however is incorrect
there's no S on the end of models;).
Correct link should be http://www.westbourne-model.co.uk/
I'll make sure i pass the information on though

I started doing one of these before I became sidetracked by my main
steam launch project. Kit was nice and I was getting on well, some
