Hi All Can any one tell me how I can scale down the plans for the 72 inch offshore mono to 48 to 54 inch. Thank you.  Signaturehfhanson Take the files to a print shop and have them print them at 75%. That will make it 54 inches long, however that will also make the stringers only about 3 3/4 inches apart which will make mounting a motor between them hard. Doug Signaturedwr9 Thank you Doug, But I think I am going to go with the wildthing, However I have been trying to print out the plans with a HP printer, I cant seem to get it to print more then one sheet so I can put the all togather. Would it be better to take the file to a print shop? Also hobby plywood is very costly, Do you think I can use 1/8 inch door skin? if I seal it good? Signaturehfhanson I use 3/16 birch ply for the stringers and bulkheads, but I do use 1/8" luan door skins for the outer skin. It works great and is cheap. What motor are you planning to use in the boat? I have a newer version than is available on this site if you are planning on using a Zenoah or some other engine with significant power. If you are going to run a heavy motor with not too much power like a weedeater motor the older one on here may be better. However the newer design has not been tested by anyone, including me so whether it is actually an improvement is still a question, I am going to build the newer version over the winter and try it next year.
