Hey Boo... sounds like you've got money burning a hole in your pocket!01 Sep 2003 00:07 GMT1
Forget the starter... get a chicken stick and heavy leather glove, between
'em they'll start just about anything... definitely forget the deflection
gauge... the only way to set your throws is by flight testing... buy the
tacho though, they're useful.... spend the rest of the cash ...
Installing fuel filter between tank and engine31 Aug 2003 22:51 GMT15
Where do most of you put the inline fuel filter? do you let it play freely
with the tubing on its way to the high end needle tit or do you secure it
somehow? My tank connections (fuel and vent) are at the firewall interface
and there is no room to place the filter in the tank ...

What Prop for OS 1.6 FX?31 Aug 2003 17:26 GMT6
Hi, What prop works best for an OS 1.6 FX with stock muffler running in a GP
1/4 scale Giles 202? I think that I have enough fuel thru it to turn the engine
loose and see what happens. I have been running a Zinger 18 X 10 on LHS advice.
I do not know what the RPM is but it seams bog ...
What Happened To Model Magic by Dave Patrick?31 Aug 2003 17:04 GMT1
Does anyone know where to by Model Magic filler? It was always the best -
first by Carl Goldberg then Dave Patrick. My hobby shop and web search
couldn't locate it. Calls to Dave Patrick only got their answering machine.
I know I can get other brands but the don't come close.
Wanted -- universal buddy cord!31 Aug 2003 15:12 GMT5
This has been on the group before, but I have a Futaba system and two
newbies I'm instructing who have JR radios.  The LHS is partial to JR and
that's what most new fliers end up with here.  The only way I can teach them
to fly is the old "grab the transmitter when they goof" ...

The Elections are here!30 Aug 2003 22:49 GMT2
Please read this and consider my request. Thanks.
For several years I have been watching, as others, and have concluded we
need some changes within the AMA. We need to change the approach used within
our own organization so that it serves the hobby rather than the hobby
Flaps30 Aug 2003 21:52 GMT2
Or more precisely flaperons!
I'm using a Twin Star with a JR XP652 computer tx.
I've been flying it around for a couple of years now, with the ailerons
connected to Ch 2 (right 'aileron') and Ch 6 (left 'Flap/Aux 1') as
Bellsouth Newsgroup outage30 Aug 2003 19:56 GMT6
If you are wondering why there have been few posts from the SE
modelers with bellsouth addresses the bellsouth newsgroups has been
down for 3 days with no indication as to when they will be back up and
running. This includes the states of MS, TN, KY, AL, GA, SC and NC -
Best engine for Kadet Senior ARF30 Aug 2003 19:22 GMT10
I am teaching my dad how to fly. Currently we have a thunder tiger 42. It is
adequate but taking off requires a long roll, and you need to keep the angle

him to practice takeoffs I'd like a bigger engine for ...
